MoU - BOEING and ELBIT Systems Colaboration in Aircraft Protection Solutions
Elbit Systems Electro-Optics Elop Ltd. will provide a Directed Infrared Counter Measure systems for BOEING platforms. MoU apply to new aircraft and retrofits.
WASHINGTON and HAIFA - BOEING and ELBIT Systems Ltd. signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that envisages the development of activities of the two companies in self-defense programs for Boeing´s military aircraft in international markets.
The companies will offer the "Directed Infrared Counter Measure System" (DIRCM) of ELBIT Systems on BOEING military fixed and rotary wings aircraft. The DIRCM Family systems produced by subsidiary ELBIT Systems Electro-optics ELOP Ltd, consist on compact systems with low weight designed to protect the aircraft on the battlefield.
Network & Space Systems and Boeing Military Aircraft are Boeing´s Companies and work together to integrate the systems into new or in operation aircraft, as well as provide analysis of aircraft signatures.

BOEING and ELBIT are already working on avionics projects asLarge Display Area (single screen display that provides all the flight data, mission and aircraft systems) and Low-profile Head-up display - LPHUD. This work involves the subsidiary of ELBIT Systems, AEL, in Porto Alegre.
