Boeing e AEL Conectam Simuladores nos Estados Unidos e Brasil
Successful demonstration represents the promise of cooperation for technology cockpit development.
Boeing connected last month, one of his advanced fighter aircraft simulators in Saint Louis, State of Missouri, with AEL simulator, more than 8000 kilometers away in Porto Alegre, demonstrating the efficiency of sharing of situational awareness potential threats and the technology available for training between the U.S. and Brazil
The simulation, which involved the Brazilian subsidiary of Elbit Systems, AEL Sistemas SA, happened on Aug. 29, lasted approximately 25 minutes and includes Boeing´s efforts to strengthen ties with Brazilian companies.

"During the demonstration, the simulators for the Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet and an F-5 Brazilian turn and flew together in a virtual Brazilian airspace," said Jerry Berg, chief of staff of the Mission Systems Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornet. "Both participants weapons fired against simulated threats and seen results."
Earlier this year, Boeing has selected Elbit to supply the system Large Display Area (single screen display that provides all the flight data, mission and aircraft systems) and Head-up Display Low Profile (Low-profile Head-up Display - LPHUD) for the F-15SE Silent Eagle and F/A-18E/F Super Hornet, which is a competitor of the F-X2 Brazilian Air Force. As a key supplier of Boeing, Elbit through Boeing, is investing in the development of advanced avionics systems in AEL.
"The simulation of this mission, in which the simulator AEL in Porto Alegre was connected to the simulator in St. Louis reinforces the promise of future relationships and collaborations in technologies cockpit," said John Keevan, lab manager of the advanced capabilities of the F / A-18 of Boeing. "This includes more complete and efficient training pilots for the Brazilian Air Force and other potential customers."
