MD: Minister Wagner inaugurates antiaircraft artillery pavilion in Santa Maria
Santa Maria (RS), 09/09/2015 - The Minister of Defense, Jaques Wagner, inaugurated today in Santa Maria (RS), the new antiaircraft artillery pavilion, which will house the Guepard cannons that were acquired year From Germany. The initiative will allow greater operationality and face new challenges such as attending major events, among them the Rio 2016 Olympics, contributing to airspace safety.
The minister greeted the Land Force for its structural projects developed jointly with the civilian segment, which contributes to the advancement of the national defense industry and at the same time elevates the military expression of national power.

General Etchegoyen stressed the importance of bringing this center to Santa Maria, which now houses the Army´s largest combat force, as well as highly qualified human resources.
