Unmanned aircraft will be used in the Confederations Cup
UAV (unmanned aerial vehicles) acquired by the Brazilian government will be used during two games of the Confederations Cup which takes place between 15 and 30 June in Brazil.
Such equipment will be moved to be used in the opening of the tournament, which will take place at Mane Garrincha stadium in Brasilia for the match between Brazil and Japan, beyond the end of the competition, at the Maracana stadium in Rio de Janeiro.
In the specific case of the state capital, the aircraft will be able to follow the authorities and airspace on site.
FAB (Brazilian Air Force) received in January two more unmanned aircraft to monitor the borders. The investment was U.S. $ 48 million.
UAV aircraft is controlled remotely from a ground base. The purchased version by the Federal Police is capable of photographing the face of a drug dealer at 9,000 meters, the company said Israeli manufacturer.
